The curing of the oven is a vital part of preparing any wood burning oven for first use and it must be done in a methodical, controlled manner over several days or more.

We chose to put our oven on a metal stand so we can move it around with a fork truck if we want to. You may decide to build a supporting structure of brick or breeze block and tiles. There are scores of examples of outdoor pizza oven designs all over the internet. Some build brickwork around the oven vault, others may construct a pitched roof over it. Your only limit is your imagination!
